Attendees will be cooking on the pit that made Lynnae Oxley a winner, the 84" Lang BBQ Smokers® model! Lynnae and the Q-School faculty will show you how easy it is to fire up our stick burners. Choose from either the Friday class - Whole Hog from Start to End, or the Saturday class - Competition Cooking. Or register for both!

These classes will cover: meat selection, preparation, smoker cooking and finishing championship barbecue. There will also be talk on theory and sharing information to help attendees get a better edge on their next competition. From seasoned competitor to beginner, everyone will see everything from start to finish. Learn some new tricks, pick up some information, and polish up on skills. We promise. No information held back! Most attendees say they can't believe how much information they gained in one day. From chefs to enthusiasts, everybody benefits!

Classes will feature some amazing rubs, injections, and sauces from Lynnae's personal sponsors Victory Lane BBQ, Oakridge BBQ and Butcher BBQ.

About Lynnae Oxley

Lynnae Oxley is the owner and Pitmaster behind Sugar's Championship Barbecue located in Portland, Oregon. Since 2006 she has been quietly proving herself a champion, racking up dozens of top awards in every category including: 10 Grand Championships and 7 Reserve Grand Championship titles. When Sugar's BBQ is on the team list, she becomes the one to beat. Sugar's was also featured on Destination Americas "BBQ Pitmasters" seasons 4 and 7 (this upcoming season) television shows. Lynnae also runs a growing, seasonal catering business as well as works cutting meat and seafood. She is personable, approachable, and simply loves to share her knowledge about all things barbecue. These classes will be hands-on, very informative, fun and you will walk away with lots of information, and a new perspective on approaching your next cook off.

Whole Hog from Start to End

Date: Friday - June 12, 2015

Demonstration of the preparation, flavor profile, and presentation of a whole hog cooked on a Lang BBQ Smokers®. One hog will be prepared the day before and will be cooking during the teaching while another whole hog will be used during the preparation part of the demonstration. They are prepared and cooked from start to finish. Find out how easy it is to cook and prepare a whole hog with a simple, no nonsense recipe.

Demonstration and instructions on the preparation, flavor profile and presentation of championship: beef brisket, pork ribs, pork butts, and chicken; on a Lang BBQ Smokers®.
